Residential Homes and Town Homes, Walgreen’s Shopping Center and Banking Location

Project Description:

The eight acre Republic Container Corporation property was purchased to make way for a re-development that created a neighborhood.  The project included demolition of the existing facilities (including a turn-of-the-century smoke stack), completed an environmental remediation, and worked with the city to complete a redevelopment plan.  Jersey City adopted this plan in its entirety naming the company as the redeveloper.  One-hundred single and two-family homes and a Walgreen’s anchored retail center were part of phase I.  The final phase of 38 town homes is currently under construction with the expected completion date of fall 2007.
